Luis Martinez
Luis is a Colombian-American former professional baseball catcher. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers. He was drafted to the Padres in 2007 and traded to the Rangers in 2011. He also signed minor league contracts with LA Angels of Anaheim (2013) and the Boston Red Sox (2015).
Luis has been coaching private hitting, catching and pitching lessons for 3 years now – single private lessons, groups lessons, clinics, and camps. Coach Luis teaches about 60 lessons a week, athletes from the age of 5 all the way to college players, providing quality lessons to hundreds of players in the DMV since his retirement in 2018. He also coaches the Mid Atlantic Redsox Show Case teams each Summer and Fall.
