Minors AA & Majors Combined – Coed

On field Instruction and game play will be led by Coach Doug Remer, a veteran youth, high school and college coach with 20+ years of coaching experience.

The first two weeks of the season are an extended Spring Training with Coach Doug and his team of coaches assessing players skills and abilities. Coach Doug uses what he learns and observes to assess teams for the season that are equitable in terms of age, ability and baseball experience. We do this to create a competitive and fun atmosphere for all involved. We want all of the players to feel challenged. We want parents to notice age and skill level appropriate competition. Once the teams are created, they play in a tournament style format for the rest of the season. Every team is guaranteed 4 games as well as the opportunity to play for a league championship as well as medal in skills competitions.

We play a coach pitch format with Coach Doug serving as the pitcher for games. We do this because we have found at this age that it provides for at bats for players, more opportunities to practice making plays in the infield and outfield and it allows for a faster game. Player development, teamwork, sportsmanship and love of the game are the cornerstones of this division and TPSS.

All games will be played on Sundays. There will be one team practices on a week night and one Sunday game. Fields used will be in Silver Spring and or Takoma Park.

Division Price: $160.00

Hello Baseball Families! Expert Coaching at your service!

I hope this message finds you well.  I am pleased to announce the launch of a new Baseball School/ Academy, in Kensington/Wheaton, that will offer the HIGHEST level of instruction in the DMV throughout the summer of 2025!  Eventually, teams will be formed for those who know the game and are physical enough to compete against older players in a few tournaments in the Fall & Summer of 2026, in addition to multiple games with local teams.

The focus of this program is to build players’ Baseball IQ, physical conditioning, communication skills, and teamwork—qualities that are essential for success at higher levels of competition and LACKING for 95% of HS players.

Our approach is comprehensive and rigorous, similar to a SAT Prep or AP Course, but for baseball.  I have over 60 skills/situations that I feel need to be coached up for them to stand out!

Here’s what else sets our program apart:

  • Structured Curriculum: We have a detailed curriculum with a clear plan for each session, outlining objectives and outcomes to ensure structured development.
  • Established Standards: We set high standards with clear criteria, focusing on measurable progress and skill mastery.
  • Balanced Learning: Our sessions include time for teaching, practice, and real-world application, ensuring players can integrate new skills effectively.
  • Real-Time Feedback: Players receive immediate, actionable feedback to help them improve continuously.
  • Standards-Based Grading: We assess players based on set standards and provide support until they achieve the required proficiency.
  • Self-Reflection: Players are encouraged to rate their performance against these standards, promoting self-awareness and personal growth.
  • Holistic Development: In addition to baseball skills, we address diet, sleep, and academics, teaching players to excel as “whole” individuals.
  • Community Support: We provide advising to both players and parents, fostering a supportive environment for development.
  • High Expectations: We believe every player has the potential to play at the collegiate level and are committed to helping them reach that goal.

Each session will offer a different IQ skill, physical skill and team skill so if you attend all of the sessions, you will learn a LOT of skills.

I will do some skills and drills over again that are important in my mind, but it won’t take away from learning new ones.

* If you are worried about OVERDOING it this summer or concerned about arm usage………..this is why I am doing this. Attending and not physically doing much is OK because we have SOOOOO much to LEARN!!!!

Y’all know that Coach Remer cares about the kids so I won’t be forcing them to throw if I think it is best for them not to.

Nobody else in the COUNTRY does this, but with colleges not recruiting high school players anymore, this is a MUST if your child has an inkling of aspiration to try!

HInt………more kids can play college ball than you think, but they have to know HOW to play and be in TOP SHAPE!
